Our car wash has been busy with customers this week as the children role played outside. Water and soap was everywhere as we not only cleaned cars, but enjoyed cooling down with water activities as well.
On Wednesday we had a ‘Gardeners’ session run by HartBeeps and the morning children all enjoyed getting dressed up and growing some amazing imaginary plants. See your tapestry account for lots of images from this fun morning.
We were also lucky to be invited to visit a local allotment on Friday where we could see things growing, talk about the food that would be picked and even dug up some potatoes which they brought home to share!
Amazingly there was even a very special ‘Freddo’ bush in the allotment and the children were able to pick chocolate right from the branches. All of the children walked really well and listened intently, learning lots about growing their own food.
In our afternoon sessions we looked at different shapes, used cars on shaped roads, made shape monsters and played shape games.
Next week: ‘People who help us’ – there will be visits from a Policeman, Nurse and pet animals to help us explore this topic.
