This week we have been talking about the ‘people who help us’, our real life super heroes. We were very lucky to have visits from a policeman, a nurse and some animals on our vet day. The children got to listen to each visitor explain what they do and how they can help them. They got to try on a policeman hat, look at the handcuffs and ask questions.
During the visit from a nurse they got to look at different bandages, plasters, a stethoscope and watch, then practice their skills on each other.
The morning children thought about the people that will help them as they move on to school and what they would like to be when they grow up.
In our afternoon sessions we have been enjoying water play, with our shower and water ways wall. We have also mixed shaving foam and sand to explore the different textures and used language to describe how it felt.
Next week: Wednesday 10th July, HartBeeps session; Toy Hospital, linking to our learning from this week.
