We’ve been to the moon and back this week as we looked at the different planets in our solar system and learnt lots of new words and language.

The children made planets using ‘spin art paints’ and looked at our globe to see what our own planet ‘Earth’ looks like from space. They decorated their own space ships and made solar system wreaths to add to our display.

On Thursday morning we meet a space alien called Hiron that had crash landed on earth and needed help to repair his space rocket. He was so grateful – he took us to the moon in our Pyjama Drama session.Take a look at your tapestry account for pictures from this session and all of the other things that we have been up to this week.

On Monday we thought about ‘remembrance’ and took part in a minutes silence. Each child made an individual poppy to take home to their families.

Thank you to all of our parents/carers that attended a parent meeting on Friday afternoon. We always look forward to meeting with you, getting to talk about your child’s time at preschool and hearing your thoughts and feedback. But, please don’t forget our door is always open if you have any thing that you would like to discuss throughout the term.

Next week: more space adventures as we build on our learning to create individual story books, take part in group story adventures and embed the new language we have learnt.
