Our present wrapping station has proved popular this week as the children picked toys, wrapped and sorted presents (big/medium/small).

The preschool Christmas Quiz went well, with the children working together as a team, recognising numbers and answering questions about the nativity, and other Christmas related trivia – ‘Santa’s Little Helpers’ arguably claimed the winning bonus point!

On Tuesday morning we walked to St. Pauls Church and learnt the meaning of a Christingle and advent.

There were some lovely Christmas jumpers throughout the week – thank you to everyone that took part and for the contributions to our Christmas party food and entertainment. We are looking forward to this event on Wednesday 18th December (the last day of term).

In our afternoon sessions we have made gingerbread men and paper plate Christmas puddings.

Next week: practice, practice, practice – we will be rehearsing our songs and getting into our costumes to run through ‘Our first nativity’ with our morning children. We will also recap on some of the things we have learnt this term – number recognition, shape matching and counting.
