It has really been getting festive at preschool this week. The children decorated our trees, made footprints in the snow (and some children even got down to make snow angels!), created some festive treats and of course practised their Christmas songs.

Mr.Elf was up to no good and the children remembered what he had been doing each day, matched pictures of his exploits to the days of the week and predicted what he might get up to next.

Other activities included: pom poms to sort/count, a Christmas dot-to-dot, Santa door signs to colour and decorate, stars to make.

In our afternoon sessions we practised cutting, played with a giant ball run outside, practised our fine motor skills with tweezers and scoop spoons, looked at the sounds different instruments make, and also made some Christmas themed items.

Next week: we will be doing Christmas themed activities each day with a different learning area the focus. Your Christmas Fundraiser Packs will be sent home.
