Thank you for all of the recycling that parents have sent in – we have been busy using it this week as we learnt about the 3R’s (Reduce/Reuse/Recycle). The children have been sorting their snack waste to recycle as much as possible, reusing things to create a terrarium/grass head and models. Learning about using less to protect the earth we live on .

We also looked at how plants grow and the how to ensure they get the right amount of light, warmth and rain.

Please send in any photos of your plants/grass heads as they grow – we are keen to see how they turn out!

In our outdoor playground the children planted a range of seeds and flowers so that they could watch them grow at preschool over the coming weeks.

See some images in our photo gallery or log in to your tapestry account to see what your child has been doing this week.

Next week: is book week. We will be exploring a range of stories and taking part in activities including a library scavenger hunt, book character quiz, making bookmarks and outdoor story telling in the wooded area. Children can come dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 4th March (AM and PM children).
