We have been practising our listening skills to get us ready for school in our morning sessions and some children have been voted #No.1 for Listening Skills – then been able to take a trophy home. We have played Bingo, drawn pictures by listening to verbal instructions, listened to audio storybooks, taken turns with a speaking spoon (and made our own to take home).

The children also followed simple instructions to make mini pizzas in our afternoon sessions and used jugs, measuring cups and pipettes to explore coloured liquids.

In our home corner the babies have all been scrubbed clean, put to bed, fed, and the washing has been hung out and ironed – it has been very industrious! Our afternoon children have also been practising their fine motor skills using pipette to transfer liquid and exploring/mixing colours.

Swimming lessons have continued and all of the children are making good progress. They are getting really good at dressing, undressing and getting confident in the water.

Next week: Hartbeeps Toy Hospital session on Wednesday afternoon. The adventures of Stick Man around the world in our morning sessions – as we learn about different countries and cultures.
