A beautiful first week back at preschool to explore ‘under the sea’ with lots of water play, swimming, learning about protecting our environment and of course hearing about all of the adventures in your Stick Man booklets.
All of the children got to role play in our sea corner, use grabbers to clean up our pretend beach outside and get crafty making sea creatures and pictures of their choice (including jellyfish, fishing paper plates, stencil art fish).
The children also used their imagination to play in our campsite outside, building tents, making food on the stove, sleeping and exploring with torches.
Our morning children enjoyed the trip to the woodland area, climbing trees, balancing on logs, building a camp fire and running around in the large space.
We had leaver’s photos on Thursday morning and these will be available to view soon. Then to finish the week the children took a trip to the local park and enjoyed using the swings, seesaw, roundabout and slide – I think the teachers were more worn out than the children!

Next week: we will be observing our caterpillars and learning about lifecycles.
