As the children took on the role of teacher in our role play area, there were some very strict teachers at preschool this week, but very generous with the stickers! They took a register, wrote on the wipe board, told stories to their pupils and took it in turns to take on the different roles.

The bouncy castle and ball pit boat provided a lot of fun and laughter on Tuesday morning and of course we couldn’t forget about the football – on Thursday we made flags and paper plate footballs then played a real football game of our own, with two teams, lots of goals, throw ins and even a hand ball penalty!

In our afternoon sessions we have been thinking about being kind to everyone and sharing with all of our friends at preschool. The story ‘Our House’ helped us thing about what this actually means as we built a house from giant lego bricks in a big group, sharing the resources and working together. Then we practised being kind and playing together with everyone in our house.

Next week: the children have been thinking about the things that they would like to do in our fun and active week at preschool. Each day will have a different set up including; games day/arts and crafts day/fairground games/sports day and will also include a ‘Bear hunt’ in the woodland area and of course a short movie and popcorn time.
