All of the children have been identifying different types of healthy vegetables this week and making soup (chopping/peeling/cutting/mixing/pouring) – they all tasted the soup with varied responses!! They also made some hedgehog bread rolls to take home,
As well as thinking about harvest, we have been creating some Autumn artwork – printing with leaves and making paper plate hedgehogs. On Wednesday morning we had a visit from Hartbeeps and took part in a lovely ‘Pumpkin Patch’ session. The children became pixies and went to harvest vegetables in the garden, then used them to make a super soup. Take a look at your tapestry account to see the pictures and videos from this session – www.tapestryjournal.com
Next week: our theme will be mixing potions and dragons. Running alongside this we will be looking at numbers. On Thursday morning we have a special visit from some real dragons!!
All children are invited to come to preschool dressed as a character from ‘Room on the Broom’ or ‘Winnie the Witch’ linking to our stories of the week.
Friday AM we will be taking our food collection to the Foodbank on Marsh Lane.
